thomsonkids.com is a specialised learning centre in Singapore for children with unique learning needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. As part of the Thomson Medical Group, we provide evidence-based English and Chinese intervention, tailored to each child and aligned with the MOE framework. This page is about who we are, what we believe, and how we support the children and families we work with.
Who we are
We are a team of educators dedicated to helping children who learn differently. As a specialised learning centre and part of the Thomson Medical Group, we bring together teaching expertise and a genuine culture of care for children and families across Singapore. Our work focuses on children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning differences, and on giving each one the targeted, individualised support they need to make progress. We see the whole child, strengths included, and we build our programmes around how that child actually learns.
Why we exist
Thomson Kids exists because every child deserves to learn in a way that works for them. In a busy mainstream classroom, children with unique learning needs can fall behind, lose confidence, and start to believe they are not capable, when in truth they simply need a different kind of support. We set out to change that, by offering specialised, evidence-based intervention in a caring setting. Our purpose is not only to help children improve in English and Chinese, but to help them feel capable, confident, and proud of what they can do.
Our mission
Our mission is to give children with learning differences the support, skills, and confidence to thrive. We do this through specialised English and Chinese intervention that is tailored to each child and aligned with the MOE framework, so the progress made with us connects with school and everyday life. Just as important, we aim to walk alongside families, offering reassurance, clear guidance, and a partnership built on trust. When a child succeeds, the whole family feels it, and that is the difference we work for.
What we do
Our programmes are designed for children who need specialised support, and they cover:
- English intervention for reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension
- Chinese intervention for literacy and language skills
- Support for children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning needs
- Individualised, one-to-one and small-group learning
- Programmes aligned with the MOE framework
What we believe in
A few values guide everything we do:
- Every child can learn and grow with the right support
- Evidence-based methods, because children deserve what works
- Individual care, shaped around each child’s strengths and needs
- Confidence matters as much as academic skill
- A true partnership with families at every step
How we support every child
We start by getting to know your child: how they learn, what they find difficult, and what they are good at. From there, we shape an individualised plan and deliver it with patience, structure, and encouragement. We keep group sizes small, so each child gets real attention, and we keep families informed about progress along the way. Where it helps, we work alongside schools and the professionals already supporting your child. The result is caring, joined-up support that keeps your child at the centre.
Part of the Thomson Medical Group
Being part of the Thomson Medical Group is something we are proud of. It connects our learning support to a wider, trusted commitment to the health and wellbeing of children and families in Singapore. For parents, it means our work sits within a culture of care and professionalism that goes beyond the classroom. It also allows us, where helpful, to consider a child’s learning alongside their broader development, taking a more complete view of how best to support them.
Work with us
If your child needs a little extra support to thrive, we would love to help. Tell us about your child and what you have noticed, and we will help you understand their needs and find the right programme.
